Job summary

Akumin Inc. is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images while complying with policies. The role includes contrast administration, patient interaction, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, access control to zones, screening, and exam scanning as needed.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images in accordance with imaging protocols and practice standards.
• Knowledge and ability to demonstrate competency with MR equipment and power injection equipment.
• Maintain quality levels meeting customer expectations through a team-oriented approach.
• Complete annual and ongoing education and site-specific competencies as designated.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists and customers, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
• Maintains patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.
• Demonstrates competency in contrast safety and administration, including IVs and vascular access points as indicated.
• Demonstrates proficiency with Akumin’s EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants, on-site or via remote command center as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
