Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the Radiology team on the night shift. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, prepare contrast, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.

The role requires ACR-accredited Medical Technology education, ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification, and at least 1 year of MRI experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required.
• ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, ensures proper contraindication assessment.
• Operates MRI equipment and positions patients for procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and maintains privacy and comfort.
• Reviews studies for clinical quality and communicates results.
• Responds to emergencies and assists other technologists as needed.
• Prepares and administers contrast as required and safety monitoring.
