Job summary

Wellstar seeks an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging during night shifts, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will proficiently position patients, operate MRI equipment, and collaborate with physicians and technologists to deliver accurate diagnostic studies.

You will maintain safety protocols, manage pre- and post-procedure care, and uphold privacy and dignity for all patients while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative imaging team.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Technology program completed.
• ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification required.
• BLS or ARC-BLS or BLS-I certification.
• Minimum 1 year MRI program experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtains complete clinical history and assesses contraindications.
• Follows procedures for contrast administration to ensure patient safety.
• Verifies patient identity and ensures privacy during procedures.
• Reviews images for quality and releases patients.
• Responds to emergencies and supports other technologists as needed.
• Operates MRI equipment and positions patients for examinations.
• Prepares and maintains imaging trays and equipment; follows infection control policies.
• Transports patients and assists with pre- and post-procedure care.
