Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the Radiology team for night shifts in the United States. The role involves obtaining patient history, preparing patients, positioning for MRI procedures, and ensuring image quality with strict safety and privacy standards.

Requires ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and an accredited Medical Technology program. The incumbent will assist with a range of MRI modalities, participate in patient education, and support the department’s ongoing quality and

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills with physicians, patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to explain procedures, obtain consent and provide patient comfort using AIDET.
• Must work independently and as part of a fast-paced team in an MRI setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtains complete clinical history and examination data.
• Reviews images for clinical quality and releases patients.
• Operates MRI equipment and positions patients for procedures.
• Follows safety, infection control and patient privacy standards.
• Performs pre/post procedure care and documents accurately.
• Takes call when necessary and supports other staff as needed.
