Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our night shift team. You will perform MRI procedures, position patients, monitor safety, and ensure image quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required are ARMRIT or ARRT-MR credentials with BLS certification and at least 1 year of accredited MRI training. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to provide compassionate patient care and accurate diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Proficiency in MRI procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to position patients and acquire diagnostic quality images.

Responsibilities

• Obtains complete clinical history and reviews for contraindications.
• Follows procedures for minimizing patient discomfort and risks during MRI.
• Ensures proper patient identification and accurate study labeling.
• Reviews images for quality and transmits studies to PACS in RIS.
• Maintains MRI suite clean, organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Operates MRI equipment and adjusts techniques for optimal imaging.
• Performs pre-procedure verification and time-out processes when applicable.
• Takes call as needed and supports other technologists as required.
