Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard CT/MRI position. The role involves performing diagnostic MRI exams, ensuring image quality, and maintaining safety standards. Sign-on up to $7,500 and relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities include patient prep, image review, teaching peers, and accurate documentation. Night hours from 8pm–6am with a 35-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT or cross-trained MRI credentials required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire is required.
• Experience with MRI specialty areas preferred for Level II.
• Must complete cases with documented skills pass off by lead MRI tech or coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/ARRT or modality competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure proper identification.
• Perform MRI exams and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Follow MRI safety guidelines and maintain a safe workspace.
• Educate and assist students and other MRI staff on protocols and positioning.
• Document procedures and adverse reactions accurately.
• Adhere to coding, billing, QC, and equipment failure reporting protocols.
