Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center MRI department is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform scans and related tasks in a high-volume environment. You will operate MRI systems, ensure patient safety, document procedures, and collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate, timely results.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, handling IV contrast, and maintaining imaging quality while adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Operates MRI Scanners and related equipment per policy.
• Verifies orders with Radiologist and clarifies discrepancies.
• Obtains complete patient history and reviews EMR data for exams.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and uses two identifiers.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and documents usage.
• Ensures image quality and consults Radiologist as needed.
• Maintains infection control and sterile technique during exams.
• Shares responsibility for patient safety and code blue readiness.
