Job summary

Atrium Health seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI scans and related imaging procedures. You will verify orders with radiologists, prepare patients, and document procedures while ensuring strict safety protocols and sterile technique.

You will assist with contrast administration and coordinate with radiology staff to ensure high-quality images and patient care throughout the exam process.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development appropriate to patients served.
• Understands radiology and MRI procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients and prepare them with explanations of procedures.
• Interview for medical history and document on requisitions.
• Operate MRI, maintain sterile technique, and follow infection control policies.
• Administer IV contrast as directed and record details.
• Move and position patients, ensure radiation safety for staff and patients.
