Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Mercy MRI department seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform imaging procedures with high proficiency, operating MRI scanners and related equipment. You will follow protocols for IV contrast, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with Radiologists to produce quality diagnostic images.

Requires ARRT radiologic or nuclear medicine certification path, MRI registry eligibility, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required; must obtain MRI registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare and document required forms.
• Review EMR for pertinent history and correlate results with exams.
• Perform MRI scanning and operate MRI equipment per protocol.
• Administer IV contrast per departmental protocols and record usage.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards in the MRI suite.
