Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate of accredited radiology program.
• State RT License for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP, or MR Certified through ARMRIT.
• BLS through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places specified coil near area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist.
• Demonstrates use of microphone for communication during examination.
• Enters data such as patient history, area scanned, orientation, and entry position into computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust equipment.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via control room window and CCTV.
• Views images on display to ensure picture quality.
• Keys in data on keyboard to photograph images.
• Alerts staff to magnet safety regarding metal objects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
