Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MR imaging to create cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes using MRI equipment. You will position patients, operate coils, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Radiography or related field, and active RT license with MR certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• State RT License / MR Certified / BLS.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places specified coil close to area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist.
• Demonstrates use of microphone for patient-technologist communication during examination.
• Enters data such as patient history, area to be scanned, and orientation into the computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers.
• Observes patient through control room to ensure safety and comfort.
• Views images on display to ensure quality of pictures.
• Keys in data on keyboard to photograph images.
• Alerts staff about metal hazards around the magnet.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
