Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology MRI Technologist to perform cross-sectional imaging using MRI equipment. The role involves patient positioning, protocol adherence, data entry, image acquisition, and safety monitoring to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field, MR certification, and BLS. Must be able to follow radiology protocols and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• RN/Technologist must have an accredited Radiography degree and MR certification.
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) certified is required.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment and follow radiology protocols.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on table and place the coil as requested by Radiologist.
• Demonstrate use of microphone for patient-technologist communication.
• Enter patient history and scan details into the computer system.
• Key commands to set up scan sequences and adjust equipment.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort from control room.
• Review images on monitor to ensure quality.
• Enter data to photograph images.
• Warn staff about metal hazards near the magnet.
