Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology MRI Technologist at Hackettstown Medical Center to perform cross-sectional imaging using MRI equipment. You will position patients, select appropriate coils, and ensure comfort and safety throughout examinations.

Responsibilities include data entry of patient history and scan parameters, operating MRI controls, verifying image quality, and coordinating with staff to maintain a safe magnet environment. MR certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field.
• MR Certification and BLS are required.
• Certification ensures competency in MRI safety and imaging.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on examining table and apply coil per protocol.
• Demonstrate use of microphone for patient-technologist communication.
• Enter patient history, area scanned, orientation, and entry position into system.
• Keys commands to set scan sequences and adjust transmitter/receiver settings.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort from control room via video.
• View images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Enter data to photograph images.
• Alert staff to metal hazards around the magnet.
