Job summary

Atlantic Health System's radiology team at Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes using modern MRI equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Radiography, MR certification and BLS, plus the ability to position patients, select coils, run scans, monitor safety, and ensure high-quality images. Work with radiologists to deliver accurate results in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field.
• MR Certification and BLS required.
• Basic understanding of MR safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on examining table and apply the required coil per protocol.
• Use provided microphone to communicate with patient during examination.
• Enter patient history, area to be scanned and entry orientation into the computer.
• Operate controls to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitter/receiver.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort from control room and CCTV.
• Review images on display to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Enter imaging data into the computer system.
• Alert staff to magnet safety hazards.
