Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic purposes. The role involves positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during scans.

The incumbent will input patient data, monitor imaging sequences, and verify image quality across examined regions, collaborating with Radiologists to meet clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• MR Certification / BLS.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on examining table and place specified coil near area of interest as requested by Radiologist.
• Demonstrate use of microphone for patient communication during examination.
• Enter data such as patient history and area to be scanned into the computer.
• Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room and CCTV.
• View images on display to ensure picture quality.
• Enter data on keyboard to photograph images.
