Job summary

Ascension Health in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join the Imaging | MRI department on the night shift. You will perform high-resolution diagnostic scans, position patients, select precise parameters, and ensure image quality for treatment planning.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date required; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
  • Credentialing for Cardiographic Tech (CCI), NMTCB, ARRT, ARDMS, or ARMRIT prior to hire date is required.

  • Execute high-resolution diagnostic scans by positioning patients and selecting precise parameters for cross-sectional images.
  • Educate patients through the imaging process, ensuring they are informed, safe, and prepared for the exam.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of diagnostic data—from entry to PACS transmission—to ensure timely access to high-quality information.
  • Maintain a high-performance clinical environment by monitoring equipment health and upholding safety standards.

  • Execute high-resolution diagnostic scans by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical parameters to capture the cross-sectional images essential for accurate treatment.

  • Empower patients through the imaging process by providing clear education and thorough pre-screening, ensuring they feel informed, safe, and prepared for their exam.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of diagnostic dataâfrom meticulous entry to PACS transmissionâto guarantee the medical team has immediate access to high-quality, life-saving information.

  • Maintain a high-performance clinical environment by proactively monitoring equipment health and upholding rigorous safety standards to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
