Ascension Brookfield is seeking an MR Technologist to accurately position patients and acquire high-quality cross-sectional MRI images at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. The role includes patient pre-screening, data entry, and PACS image transfer, with emphasis on team collaboration and safety.

You will ensure equipment is properly maintained, document and report any issues, and participate in continuous quality improvements within the Radiology department.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Must pass the MR boards (ARRT) within 12 months of hire or transfer.
• MR credential options include NMTCB, ARRT MR, or ARDMS MR depending on specialty; pass MR boards within 12 months.

• Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images to PACS; ensure image quality and proper markers.

Your future role at a glance

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross‑sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre‑screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.
• Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the Magnetic Resonance (MR) boards through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 month of hire/transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the Magnetic Resonance (MR) boards through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 month of hire/transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
