Job summary

Ascension Franklin in Franklin, WI is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to oversee daily MRI department operations, ensure safe patient care, and maintain high imaging quality.

You will mentor staff, manage regulatory compliance, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support data integrity in PACS while minimizing downtime. A strong MR imaging background with ARRT MR, NMTCB/ARDMS credentials, BLS, and leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider and advanced MR credentials required.
• ARRT MR certification or ARRT MR boards completion within 12 months.
• Nuclear Medicine or ARRT MRI as applicable.
• High school or technical degree with related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily MRI department operations to ensure timely, high-quality imaging.
• Mentor staff through orientation, coaching, and feedback.
• Ensure clinical and technical quality by accurate patient positioning and equipment QC.
• Maintain data integrity for patient documentation and PACS submissions.

• Serve as a key clinical resource across multidisciplinary teams, collaborating to solve complex workflow challenges and championing clean, safe departmental facilities.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the Magnetic Resonance (MR) boards through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 month of hire/transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the MR boards through ARRT within 12 month of hire/transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• M-F with either (5) 8 hour shifts typically 645-315p or (4) 10 hour shifts possible as well. Limited call and weekend/holiday call rotation with no overnight call shifts.
• BLS, ARMRIT or ARRT MRI advanced certification required. 3+ years experience in MRI preferred for Lead role
