Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR exams and support physicians in the imaging workflow. You’ll care for patients across neonatal to geriatric ages and work under the supervision of a Radiologist to ensure quality results.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of MRI experience, AMA/JRCERT radiologic training, and ARRT/MR certification with BCLS. This role supports a high-volume imaging service in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 2 years experience as MRI Technologist.
• ARDMS or ARRT MRI certification, ARRT MRI advanced certification, and BCLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations under supervision of Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced MR imaging and cross-sectional anatomy/physiology.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform advanced MR imaging and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
