Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures under a Radiologist's supervision. The role requires ARRT radiography and MRI certifications, BCLS, and at least 1 year of MRI experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or graduate of a JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training program.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification (R) required; ARRT MRI certification required; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations following prescribed standards under the supervision of the Radiologist.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; follow MRI safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Provide accurate imaging with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology awareness to support diagnosis.
• Maintain equipment performance and troubleshoot routine issues as needed.
• Collaborate with radiology team to meet patient care goals.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
