Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Aerostructures Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA to own MRB non-conformance dispositioning for Group 5 air vehicles and perform structural substantiation using hand calculations and FEM tools. You will write disposition packages, support certification, and help scale MRB methods as production grows.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace structural analysis, proficiency with NASTRAN and CATIA/Siemens NX, and eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience with MRB/disposition experience
• Strong understanding of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and load path analysis
• Proficiency with FE analysis tools (NASTRAN or equivalent) and classical hand calculations
• Experience substantiating repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures
• Excellent written communication skills to produce disposition packages under schedule pressure
• Self-driven with autonomy in a fast-paced environment
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
• Ability to travel up to 50% to vendors, production sites, and test sites

Responsibilities

• Serve as the MRB authority for dispositioning non-conformances on Group 5 air vehicles
• Perform structural substantiation analysis — static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and buckling
• Write clear, defensible disposition packages that restore airworthiness
• Develop and improve MRB work methods, tools, and standard dispositions
• Monitor trends in recurring non-conformances and drive RCCA with QA, Manufacturing, and M&P
• Coordinate with QA, Manufacturing, Design, and M&P to resolve non-conformances quickly
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate repair vs rework vs scrap decisions
• Provide on-the-floor engineering support during builds with up to 50% travel
