Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an MRB Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on evaluating nonconforming mechanical hardware for Group 5 air vehicles. The role drives MRB dispositions, sets technical standards, and partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to keep production moving.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 10+ years in mechanical engineering, and at least 2 years in a leadership role, with CAD/FEA

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including nonconformances dispositioning in production/maintenance.
• 2+ years leading or managing engineers.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to perform structural/mechanical analysis (stress, fatigue) using hand calculations and FEA tools.
• Ability to set technical standards and review others’ work across a team of engineers.
• Excellent cross-functional communication; able to coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and senior leadership.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of mechanical sustainment engineers evaluating nonconforming hardware.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; establish MRB signature path for team members.
• Set technical standards and review high-risk dispositions.
• Own team workload and keep production on schedule.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Drive RCCA programs to reduce nonconformances.
• Improve MRB processes, tools, and standard work for mechanical hardware as production rates increase.
• Report on throughput, nonconformance trends and risk to leadership.
• Provide guidance on MRB discipline and cross-functional coordination.
• Travel to vendor, production and test sites as needed.
