Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a temporary/PRN position.

Responsibilities

• Patient MRI Imaging (90%)
  • Screen patients before exam for precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, including positioning to enable proper scanning.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body portions, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely, comply with safety regulations, and maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment to promote safety for patients and team members.
  • Keep equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
  • Maintain the ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• MRI Department Support (5%)
  • Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and performing software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in training new team members, providing technical expertise as applicable.
• Other Tasks (5%) – completes additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, as required by state regulations.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Skilled and experienced in independent performance of MRI procedures.
• Certification in an imaging specialty.

Preferred

• Bilingual language skills.
