Position Overview
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a temporary/PRN position.
Responsibilities
- Patient MRI Imaging (90%)
- Screen patients before exam for precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, including positioning to enable proper scanning.
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body portions, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, comply with safety regulations, and maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment to promote safety for patients and team members.
- Keep equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
- Maintain the ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- MRI Department Support (5%)
- Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and performing software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist in training new team members, providing technical expertise as applicable.
- Other Tasks (5%) – completes additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, as required by state regulations.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Skilled and experienced in independent performance of MRI procedures.
- Certification in an imaging specialty.

- Bilingual language skills.
