Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for our Arlington, Virginia location. The role involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care and support throughout the procedure.

Qualified candidates must be ARRT or ARMRIT registered, possess a graduate degree from an AMA approved radiography program, and have CPR certification. The position includes a $2500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

We're offering a $2500.00 sign-on bonus with this position.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service, guiding patients through the process and answering their questions and concerns.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 2:30pm to 11pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately examined.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and co‑workers.
  • Maintains an ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES (5%)
  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  • Assists with training new associates, providing resources and technical expertise where applicable.
OTHER TASKS (5%)

Completes other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on State regulations and business needs.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
