Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images. You will guide patients through procedures with a patient-centric approach, ensuring safety and quality while delivering excellent service.

This temporary/PRN role typically works weekends with possible evenings and day shifts, offering flexible scheduling and DailyPay benefits. ARRT certification, state licensure, and CPR are required to perform MRI procedures independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA-approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exam for safety and proper patient identification.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physician orders, comply with safety regulations, and maintain RIS records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and sanitize equipment.
• Maintain MRI equipment and ensure accreditation requirements are met.
• Assist in protocol updates, inventory, and training as applicable.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient‑centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This is a temporary/PRN position typically working weekends with occasional evenings and day shifts available; flexible shifts (no call).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned.

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
