Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager for MQ and ACE Engineering to lead strategy and delivery of enterprise messaging platforms. You will guide architecture, operations, automation, and governance across IBM MQ and ACE ecosystems, partnering with cross-functional leaders to enable secure, scalable connectivity and modernization initiatives.
The role requires deep MQ/ACE expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex integration programs in large enterprises.
Qualifications
- 7+ years supporting enterprise integration, middleware, messaging, or platform engineering environments within large-scale organizations.
- 5+ years leading engineering, platform, infrastructure, or technology teams with accountability for delivery, operations, and talent development.
- 5+ years administering, architecting, and optimizing IBM MQ environments, including performance tuning, resiliency, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- 4+ years designing, developing, and supporting IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB) solutions across complex enterprise integration landscapes.
- 3+ years implementing high-availability architectures, disaster recovery capabilities, DevOps automation, CI/CD practices, and hybrid or cloud-based integration platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering, operations, modernization, and continuous improvement of enterprise IBM MQ and IBM ACE platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Define and execute the MQ and ACE platform strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance in partnership with engineering, infrastructure, security, and architecture stakeholders.
- Drive platform automation, operational efficiency, performance optimization, capacity planning, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous service improvement through modern engineering practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, support models, technology lifecycle planning, and delivery of complex enterprise integration initiatives.
