Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is seeking a Foreman to lead the Maintenance-of-Way (MoW) crew in Albany, OR. You will oversee daily maintenance and repairs of track infrastructure, directing a team to ensure safety, reliability, and on-time rail operations.

This full-time role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to safety, cost control, and coordinating with other teams. Outdoor, hands-on work in varied weather is expected, with a 24/7 operational environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain if required.
• RWP and EIC certification is a plus.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage MoW crews in maintenance and repair projects including performing work alongside the crew.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure organized and efficient railroad operations.
• Enforce compliance with safety procedures and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Monitor and support all maintenance and other costs to stay within budget.
• Support the MoW department in meeting its track, signal, and capital-projects service goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
