Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming is hiring a Track Foreman to lead the Maintenance-of-Way crew, ensuring track infrastructure safety and reliability. The role combines hands-on oversight with planning to keep rail operations running smoothly.

The position requires 2+ years MoW/Track experience, 1 year as Foreman, and strong safety and reporting skills. Full-time, on-site with 24/7 schedule and potential travel.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of MoW/Track work experience, with 1 year as a Foreman or Lead.
• Ability to complete written forms and reports as required.
• Reading and interpreting safety rules, manuals, and regulations.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, reporting).
• Experience with routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage MoW crews in maintenance and repair projects, including hands-on work with the crew.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure organized and efficient railroad operations.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Monitor and support costs to stay within budget.
• Assist MoW in meeting track, signal, and capital-project service goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
