Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking an Executive Chef to lead a busy kitchen, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive cost controls while maintaining high culinary standards.

You will oversee up to 30 staff, recruit and train, and coordinate with the Executive Chef to optimize menus and promotions across the resort. Resort experience is preferred and WV Food Handlers Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a related kitchen leadership role.
• WV Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Resort experience preferred.
• Two+ years post-high school education; culinary education desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulations, control costs, and maintain our standards.
• Keep team updated on menus, promotions, and events.
• Address maintenance, hygiene, and safety concerns promptly.
• Align financial performance with resort objectives.
• Maintain food control systems/margins and menu relevance with the Executive Chef.
• Perform assigned duties as needed.
• Overseeing up to 30 positions directly; recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop kitchen staff.
• Manage kitchen operations, quality, and admin functions.
• Foster good communication across Snowshoe Mountain.
