Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort seeks a Mountain Camp Café Clerk II to deliver friendly, timely food and beverage service in the Mountain Camp Café. This part-time, seasonal role supports heavy weekend/holiday demand with shift variability Sunday through Saturday and December–April.

Responsibilities include menu knowledge, precise cash handling, POS input, and maintaining safety standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; and a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and lift/move up to 20 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Provide food and beverage service following Sundance standards; ensure quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation.
  • Handle money accurately in accordance with policies.
  • Educate guests on menu items and ingredients, and make recommendations.
  • Input orders into POS to inform the kitchen of order details.
  • Maintain safety and health code standards in service.

Job Title: Mountain Camp Café Clerk II

Rate of Pay: $14.00/hr + Tips

Shift: Part-Time, Seasonal Positions

Variable shifts times Sunday through Saturday

3-5 days per week, December – April

Weekends and holidays required

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Interviewing begins late October/early November.
Training begins late November

SUMMARY

Responsible for creating an exceptional Sundance experience by providing consistent, friendly, professional, and timely service of food and beverages at the Mountain Camp Cafe.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards for quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation are met.
  • Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
  • Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendations.
  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
  • Transport trays/plates throughout the work space which may weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform opening & closing side work duties on a daily basis.
  • Remain up to date on Resorts current events and the hours of operation of food and beverage outlets.
  • Develop, lead, maintain, and enhance guest relations through personalized experience and unscripted guest interactions.
  • Seek out ways to provide additional assistance and service to all guests, co-workers and management.
  • Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
  • Serve hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold.
  • Remain up-to-date on Hotel current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages in Utah. (As dictated by Beverage Department and State and local laws).
  • Exhibit responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance to state laws, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of beverages (i.e. beers, wines, liquors, etc.) with ability to communicate with guests and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must perform all essential duties competently.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
