Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a part-time DELI CLERK I to greet guests, explain menu items, and process orders with accuracy. You will work with the POS system, assist guests, and help maintain clean, well-stocked dining areas while upholding safety and health standards.

This role requires at least six months of related experience, the ability to use a POS system, and compliance with food-handling permits. Weekend shifts and holidays are expected as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to use point-of-sale system.
• Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and make recommendations.
• Take phone orders and ensure timely delivery or pickup.
• Input orders into the POS and inform kitchen of order details.
• Handle till and transactions accurately; maintain service standards.
• Ensure safety and health code standards in food handling.
• Keep dining areas clean and stocked; perform opening/closing duties.

Job description

Job Title: DELI CLERK I

Rate of Pay: $13.00/hr + Tips.

Shift: Part-Time, Year-Round Positions

Variable AM/PM shifts Sunday through Saturday

Weekends and holidays required.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or promotions for guest awareness.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendations.
• Assist guests with inquiries in a timely manner and with a cheerful disposition.
• Develop, lead, maintain, and enhance guest relations through personalized experience and unscripted guest interactions.
• Take phone orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery or pick up.
• Input the order into the Point-of-Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• Keep composure and maintain service standards when dealing with guests' complaints to achieve a high level of guest recovery.
• Perform basic math to accurately manage till, point of sale transactions, inventory, etc.
• Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards for quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation are met.
• Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
• Remain up to date on Resort current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
• Ensure the market and all dining areas are clean and well stocked.
• Perform opening & closing side work duties on a daily basis.
• Ensure that floor is kept dry, to prevent slips and falls.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures through performance and decision making.
