Job summary

Avalon Transportation LLC in North Carolina is seeking a motivated Dispatcher to ensure on-time pickups and real-time vehicle tracking. You will manage dispatch screens, relay updates to drivers, and coordinate with Sales, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve issues while delivering high-quality customer experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dispatch in transportation, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dispatching in transportation
• Experience in charter bus industry is a plus
• Strong English and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Flexible shifts including weekends and nights

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between Operations and Maintenance
• Schedule Drivers and Vehicles
• Communicate with Drivers regarding schedule and customer needs
• Verify Hours of Service and Fit for Duty
• Record on-time performance and issues
• Coordinate last-minute changes with Sales, Maintenance and Drivers
• Provide concierge-grade customer service to customers
• Update GPS route/equipment status
• Monitor on-time performance
• Audit Driver credentials + logs
