Job summary

MDS Staffing in Minnesota seeks an Applications Engineer to develop and support electric linear motion product sales by providing technical sales and application support for actuators, motors, and drives. You will work with customers, distributors, and internal teams to tailor solutions and ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities include sizing and installing guidance, performing motion calculations, delivering training and presentations, and staying current with motion control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales and application support for electric linear motion products.
• Assist customers and distributors with product selection, sizing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Perform engineering calculations related to motion dynamics and performance.
• Recommend product solutions based on application requirements.
• Deliver product training and technical presentations to customers and teams.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and support teams to drive customer success.
• Stay current on products, motion control technologies, and industry trends.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience and processes.
