Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a technically skilled sales and applications engineer to support end-user, OEM, distributor accounts and system integrators, driving growth of drives and motion control products. You will demonstrate products, size drives and peripherals for applications, develop training and sales demos, assist field staff, and travel 25–50% regionally.

Qualified candidates hold a 4-year engineering degree, 5+ years in engineering/selling automation, and strong

Qualifications

Four year technical engineering degree required or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years in engineering/selling automation solutions.
Proficiency in motion control programming and IEC61131 platforms.
Experience with servo drives and VFDs.
Familiarity with EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales and application support to grow sales and meet objectives.
Assist and/or lead demonstrations of Nidec Drives products to customers.
Size drive, motor and peripheral devices for applications.
Prepare training and sales presentations demonstrating capabilities.
Assist customers with developing software for operating complex machinery.
Travel 25–50% within the region.
