Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is seeking an experienced MOT Supervisor to lead traffic control operations in South Florida. This role requires oversight of MOT plans, crew supervision, equipment readiness, and strict safety compliance. Home office in Pembroke Pines with travel across the South Florida area.

Ideal candidates will have FDOT Advanced MOT or ATSSA certification, a valid license, and proven leadership and communication skills to drive efficiency and safety in dynamic outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or lead experience in traffic control and MOT operations.
• Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage crews, coordinate multiple tasks and adapt to changing conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching).
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and extended shifts (10+ hours).
• Exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise MOT crews and ensure proper PPE usage and safety practices.
• Ensure crews have tools, materials, and equipment for tasks.
• Coordinate with project POC to verify task details before operations.
• Manage trucking coordination with drivers and supervise assigned tasks.
• Oversee traffic control setup/removal, lane closures, signs, cones, barricades, and flagging.
• Maintain clean, organized worksites and adjust traffic strategies per site conditions.
• Transport equipment and signs using company vehicles.
• Document DHA forms, Daily Logs, Truck Inspections, Tickets daily.
