Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a candidate to assist in hiring and supervising MOT crews for highway projects in Florida. The role coordinates with inspectors, engineers, and site leadership to ensure smooth MOT operations and adherence to plans.

The job involves outdoor work in Florida heat, heavy traffic areas, and requires lifting up to 50 pounds and long workdays. Training and supervision duties are included to support FDOT OJT program outcomes and crew performance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push and pull.
• Must be able to work on average ten hours per day, five days per week (occasionally six).
• All work outdoors in Florida heat and rain; near heavy highway traffic areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring MOT crews and supervise MOT crew(s).
• Coordinate MOT operations with inspectors, engineers, project superintendent, and foremen.
• Communicate with the project superintendent regarding scheduling, crews, detours, and subcontractors.
• Maintain inventories of equipment for company and subs; compare against counts.
• Review and submit certified quantities.
• Mentor trainees in the FDOT OJT program and ensure training records are accurate.
• Oversee implementation of traffic control plans per specs and guidelines.
• Provide full oversight of maintenance of traffic on the project.

Job Summary

Assist in the hiring process of MOT crews, supervise MOT crew(s), and coordinate MOT operations with inspectors, engineers, project superintendent, and project foremen.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate with project superintendent regarding scheduling or crews and subcontractors, phasing, detours, etc.
• Maintain inventories of equipment for company and all subcontractors; run comparisons against actual counts
• Review and submit certified quantities
• Assist safety management team with investigations of any jobsite accident investigations on the project
• Mentor traffic control specialist trainees enrolled in FDOT OJT Program. Communicate and collaborate with engineers and project managers to assure successful completion of program and accuracy of training and time records.
• Assist in the hiring process of MOT crews
• Supervise MOT crew(s)
• Coordinate MOT operations with inspectors, engineers, project superintendent, and project foremen
• Implementation of the project’s traffic control plan using the proper specifications and guidelines
• Full oversight and authority regarding the project’s maintenance of traffic implementation
