Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. / Arrive Alive Traffic Control is seeking a MOT Technician to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow through active construction zones, setting up and dismantling lane closures, directing traffic, and adhering to FDOT standards and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate emphasizes safety, works well under pressure, communicates clearly with teammates and supervisors, and can lift and move heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to the workplace.
• Must have a strong work ethic and good communication.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, 10+ hour days.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Able to perform physical tasks on construction sites (standing, walking, kneeling).
• Previous traffic control experience preferred.
• ATSSA/traffic control/MOT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members.
• Set up and dismantle lane closures and other traffic control equipment.
• Safely load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades.
• Direct traffic around and through construction sites using flagging and signaling techniques.
• Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment and tools.
• Keep the worksite clean and organized; dispose of debris properly.
• Accurately complete job-related paperwork and documentation.
• Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone.
• Monitor job site conditions and adjust traffic control strategies as needed.
