Job summary

Apple Federal Credit Union in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Mortgage Servicer to support mortgage and home equity loan servicing tasks, including payment processing, escrow maintenance, and file upkeep.

Under supervision, you will assist with records, notices, and inquiries from members. This role requires mortgage knowledge, strong customer service, and detail-oriented work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum three-years experience in mortgage-related work.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products and features.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Some college coursework a plus
• Excellent member service, telephone, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• PC proficient, including MS Windows, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), and mortgage software
• Ability to lift 25lbs and utilize standard office equipment
• Travel may be required
• Ability to function in a financial institution environment

Responsibilities

• Processes payments through mail or payroll deduction.
• Maintains loan escrow accounts and handles escrow transactions.
• Boards newly funded loans and ensures accuracy in servicing systems.
• Processes certificates of satisfaction/lien release forms.
• Audits mortgage loan files for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Packages and sends sold files for audit by secondary market investors.
• Manages Allonges for First and Second Trust Balloon Notes.
• Performs month-end and year-end reporting.
• Supports other Mortgage Servicing duties as needed
