Job summary

Newrez LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Portfolio Manager to lead a team of Portfolio Managers within the mortgage servicing division. You will leverage strong communication, analytics, and project management to drive client satisfaction and operational excellence.

You will develop strategies, manage client P&Ls, oversee scorecards, and partner with Legal on servicing agreements while maintaining risk controls and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business discipline.
• 7+ years in Mortgage Servicing, preferably client facing.
• 2+ years’ prior people management experience.
• Knowledge of GSE/Servicing guidelines and regulations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a group of Portfolio Managers and assist in overall departmental strategy creation.
• Serve as the direct escalation point for our clients.
• Oversee scorecards including analyzing and presenting data to senior management.
• Create and implement value-add client campaigns affecting operating practices.
• Manage key operational risk-management metrics and issue resolution.
• Develop policies and procedures ensuring sound risk practices.
• Manage SLAs and accountability for Portfolio Managers.
• Present ideas and findings to diverse audiences including executives.
• Conduct Monthly Business Reviews with clients and operations teams.
• Lead onsite visits, performance reviews, and audits.
• Develop tools to improve efficiency and performance.
• Identify gaps in reporting and policies and partner to implement.
