Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 2 years sales experience, or combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or relevant work experience, including 2 years sales.
• Thorough knowledge of FHA/VA regulations, conventional loan requirements and real estate law.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to collect and analyze information regarding income, assets, debts and credit data to determine loan eligibility.
• Independently assess applicant’s credit worthiness.
• Determine which products best meet the customer’s needs and advise on mortgage loan programs.
• Market and promote the bank’s mortgage products; solicit residential first mortgages through Realtors, builders, and developers.
• Negotiate loan terms and bind the bank in connection with loans; may travel to clients' homes.
• Ensure lending compliance with origination procedures and regulatory requirements.
