Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking an experienced Senior Loan Processing Leader to oversee daily production of the loan processing team and support underwriting mortgage loans. You will coordinate operations staff to ensure timely closings, monitor reports, and drive accuracy.

Applicants should have at least 5 years in senior loan processing, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of DU/LP and agency guidelines. The role includes mentoring staff, training, and taking on special projects, with underwriting

Qualifications

5 years senior loan processing experience with mortgage processing knowledge (DU/LP/agency guidelines).
Strong leadership and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication for high interaction.
Ability to analyze lender requirements and underwriting guidelines; customer-service oriented.
Underwriting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily reports to ensure loan files move through process per company expectations.
Process loan files as needed to support branch and ensure timely closings.
Assist Operations Manager with underwriting loan files as needed.
Monitor daily production of processing staff.
Mentor and educate loan processors to support development.
Prepare and review reports for appropriate company representatives.
Assist with training procedures for existing and new employees.
Assist with special projects and other duties.
Obtain underwriting authority within 120 days of starting position (training provided).
