Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist/Processor to handle FHA, VA and Conventional loan documentation, prepare packages for underwriting, and coordinate with applicants and loan officers.

Candidates should have an Associate's degree in finance or mortgage lending with 2–4 years of experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and excellent customer service abilities. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have recent purchasing processing experience.
• Customer-service oriented with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate underwriting guidelines and lender requirements.
• Excellent organization and detail-oriented aptitude.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to gather information on credit, employment, and finances.
• Gather and process documentation from applicants, bureaus, employers, and creditors.
• Prepare and organize loan information for underwriting submission.
• Communicate with applicants, underwriters, and creditors to resolve questions.
• Assist Branch Manager and Loan Officers to process loans.
• May supervise and lead others.
