Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) seeks a Mortgage Loan Processor in Melbourne to guide approved first mortgage loans from application through closing. You will review loan files for completeness, coordinate documentation, and support borrowers and partners to ensure timely, compliant closings.

Requirements include a two-year degree or equivalent experience and 3–5 years in mortgage processing, with TRID and investor guidelines familiarity preferred; NMLS registration may be required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years of mortgage processing or related experience required.
• Familiarity with TRID and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active NMLS registration when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review and process conventional, FHA, VA, and other first mortgage loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Verify borrower income, assets, employment, credit history, and funds to close; ensure conditions are satisfied before closing.
• Order and review appraisals, title commitments, flood certifications, and other third-party documents within timelines.
• Submit complete loan files to underwriting; follow up on conditions and manage a 20–40 loan pipeline.
• Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, closing agents, and internal partners; maintain confidentiality.
• Resolve member questions and file issues while meeting productivity, loan quality, and service standards.
