Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory, taking applications and submitting them for processing and underwriting.

Incumbents spend at least 50% of time away from bank locations on loan sales and related activities, developing a referral base in the assigned market.

Qualifications include NMLS registration under SAFE Act, a high school degree, and 2+ years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate, plus strong communication and independence.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory and submits applications for processing and underwriting.
• Follows up to secure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing from appropriate sources.
• Regularly engages in loan sales and related activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
• Spend at least 50% of time away from bank locations conducting activities.
• Establish and maintain a referral base within the assigned market.
