Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting reviews, and submit to processing for approval while actively soliciting new business away from bank locations.

Expect significant travel and field-based work. Requirements include an NMLS registration, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration as required by S.A.F.E. Act and Reg Z.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in assigned territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval and follow up to secure required documents.
• Spend at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations for sales activities.
