Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting reviews, and submit packages for underwriting and approval while actively prospecting away from bank locations.

A strong sales mindset and self-motivation are essential. The role requires NMLS registration, a high school degree or equivalent, and 2+ years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, and ongoing compliance with registration requirements.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory and takes applications.
• Conducts preliminary underwriting reviews and submits to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Spends at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations to prospect and solicit loan sales.
