United Bank of Michigan is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in the West Michigan market. This full-time role focuses on building relationships with customers to meet mortgage objectives and guiding loan applicants through the process with detailed analysis of financial information.

Candidates should be capable of interviewing applicants, explaining mortgage products, and handling related bank services. A valid NMLS number and transportation to meet clients are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Interfaces, and Web applications.
• To register and maintain NMLS Unique Identifying Number.

Whether you have several years of experience or are new to the mortgage industry, we would love to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.The Mortgage Loan Originator position is a fundamental position at United Bank. Mortgage Loan Originators have the important role of building relationships and generating sales in the assigned market for home loan applications and closings. You will assist new and existing customers with inquiries and providing mortgage information. You will interview loan applicants and explain appropriate mortgage products and related bank products to them. You also need to be extremely detailed, as you will complete loan applications and related documents, along with examining customer financial statements, credit reports, employment profiles and real estate property information to evaluate mortgage qualifications on a preliminary basis. You must have transportation to meet with clients on and off site. You may conduct construction inspections and have the ability to work varied weekend and evening hours.
