United Bank of Michigan is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in the West Michigan market. This full-time role focuses on building relationships with customers to meet mortgage objectives and guiding loan applicants through the process with detailed analysis of financial information.

Candidates should be capable of interviewing applicants, explaining mortgage products, and handling related bank services. A valid NMLS number and transportation to meet clients are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Interfaces, and Web applications.
• To register and maintain NMLS Unique Identifying Number.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers to meet mortgage objectives.
• Interview loan applicants and explain mortgage products.
• Examine customer financial statements, credit reports, employment profiles and real estate information to preliminarily evaluate mortgage qualifications.
• You must have transportation to meet with clients on and off site; may work varied hours.
