Job summary

Dream Finders Homes is seeking a results-oriented Loan Originator to generate new business and referrals while maintaining excellent client relationships and communication with referral partners. Mortgage industry experience is required and the candidate must close loan packages with outstanding service.

This role collaborates with loan officers, processors and partners, manages the pipeline, and explains mortgage options. Strong organizational and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
• NMLS licensure in TX.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Willingness to participate in weekend on-call 1-2x/month.
• Strong relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
• Understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure loan transactions close successfully.
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet SLAs, generate referrals and new business.
• Build personal relationships with clients and discuss mortgage products.
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations (total cost analyses).
• Package files for loan openers/processing staff.
• Lock loans, structure files, and review closing disclosures with clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist our team in closing loan packages while maintaining an excellent level of service and communication with our clients. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. loan officer assistant, loan opener, loan processor, underwriter, referral partners, escrow, title, etc.) on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations/SLAs, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
• Create personal relationships with clients - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations for clients (total cost analyses)
• Package files to send to the loan openers/processing staff
• Lock loans, structure files, and review final closing disclosures (CDs) with clients

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ year of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in either TX
• Experience with Encompass
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in TX, and any other states
• Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, and Candid
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans
