Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, a Dream Finders Homes company, is seeking a results-driven Loan Originator in Dallas to generate new business and maintain strong client relationships. You will collaborate with loan assistants, processors, and referral partners to close loans while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires 3+ years in mortgage lending, TX NMLS licensure, and experience with Encompass. Weekend on-call rotation 1–2x/month is expected as part of the on-going duties.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
• Licensure with the NMLS in TX.
• Experience with mortgage software tools such as Encompass, Simple Nexus, and Optimal Blue.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the loan transaction closes smoothly.
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales SLAs, generate referrals, and seek new business opportunities.
• Build personal relationships with clients and explain mortgage options and costs.
• Prepare and present mortgage analyses for clients and explain total cost usage.
• Package files for loan openness and processing staff, and assist with loan lock and closing disclosures.

Our team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented Loan Originator who can generate new business and referrals, as well as maintain the excellent relationships we have already established with clients and referral partners. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our team in closing loan packages while maintaining an excellent level of service and communication with our clients. Lending or mortgage industry experience is required. You must have strong organizational skills and superb customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. loan officer assistant, loan opener, loan processor, underwriter, referral partners, escrow, title, etc.) on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations/SLAs, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
• Create personal relationships with clients - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations for clients (total cost analyses)
• Package files to send to the loan openers/processing staff
• Lock loans, structure files, and review final closing disclosures (CDs) with clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ year of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in TX
• Experience with Encompass
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in TX and any other states
• Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, AND Optimal Blue
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans
